DualCore schedules

DualCore schedules are schedules which contain two cores and some number of naps (or, in DCX's case, any single other sleep phase). They may be preferred over MonoCore schedules, as both have similar lifestyle considerations, with DualCore being more suited to natural segmented sleepers (you may notice that as waking up in the middle of the night for no reason).

The shared mechanism is one SWS-peak core to get enough SWS, and one REM-peak core to get REM, with naps to boost up on REM and possibly light-sleep (to remove pressure).

The following schedules are part of this line-up:

Also known as Segmented, this schedule usually has 7h of TST.
DCX
2-3

0-1

A naturally flexible non-reducing triphasic schedule based on two core and one other sleep, but when necessary allowing skipping the other sleep, adding a fourth, or changing the core duration. (Polynet name: Triphasic-X.)
DC1
2

1

A schedule consisting of one 2-cycle core, one shortcore, and one nap. TST is 5h20, the cores being 3h20 and 1h40 respectively.
DC2
2

2

A still quite doable schedule consisting of one 2-cycle core, one default shortcore, and two naps. TST is 5h10, the cores being 3h and 1h30 respectively. This schedule is not removing much core sleep from DC1 to stay adaptable by default.
DC3
2

3

Impossible for a decent number of people to adapt, consisting of only 3h of total core with 3 naps. DC2 is recommended instead. TST is 4h.
DC4
2

4

Like DC3, but with an extra nap. This schedule may be of higher TST (4h20min), but the very frequent napping makes the schedule relatively undesirable while not being much easier.

◉
The AMAYL variant of the line-up: Flexible number of naps at flexible times - usually based on DC2 or DC1. Quite difficult, but very useful for inconsistent or chaotic lifestyles.
