Biphasic schedules
Biphasic schedules are the easiest polyphasic schedules you can choose. These may consist of two cores, or one core and one nap, in which case they are also classified as MonoCore schedules. These are the tested and working ones:
| Schedule | Cores | Naps | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| DualCore-0 | 2 ■ ■ | 0 |
A schedule that has been slept all throughout history, but fell out of fashion during the industrial revolution. Two cores at night. Often slept in reducing form at 6h30 TST, but was likely originally non-reducing. |
| Siesta | 2 ■ ■ | 0 |
Also historically slept by many people, still in pretty widespread use now - though somewhat less. Two cores. By most of the population, slept as the Siesta-Extended variant. In the polyphasic community usually slept in reducing form at 6h30 TST. |
| MX | 1-2 ■ ▧ | 1? ▧ |
A very flexible, but non-reducing schedule. Two sleeps of any duration, but TST must be above ~7h. |
| MonoCore-1 | 1 ■ | 1 ■ |
A reducing schedule: One core, one nap, 6h20 TST. |
