MX can be done with more naps, for a nearly MOCAMAYL-like experience.
In fact, it might be possible to adapt to MOCA this way, though it
might take a bit longer. Difficulty is similar to MX-base, though
most of the risks of MOCA carry over. This makes it lie
somewhere between MOCA and MX. The core usually has to be relatively
long still but can be reduced over time with a bit of luck.
Slowly reducing adaptation to MOCA may be possible
given enough time

Flexible core

Naps are a nontrivial share of TST and thus
necessary to feel well
Gradual adaptation to MOCA
Gradual adaptation to MOCA, if possible, involves slowly giving
up the benefits of MX for more reduction. This means no more
flexible core (most likely), no more afternoon cores, and a period
of at least some level of tiredness whenever the core is reduced
further. However, if done slowly enough, naps should be able to
make up for that missing sleep enough to bypass stage3 and perform
a MOCA adaptation without a rigid M3e or similar one first.
