Coreless-6 / Uberman

CL6 is a schedule that attempts to balance practicality with possibility in the Coreless lineup. However, it does neither of them particularly well by being extremely rigid and remaining in the impossible range, like all coreless schedules. It was highly popularized in the media during the 2000s and 2010s due to its extremely low sleep total, bringing polyphasic sleep into the eyes of many more people. Due to its impossibility however, its popularization has also led to significant damages to public perception of polyphasic sleep.

Impossibility

Like all coreless schedules, CL6 is, for most sleepers, not adaptable. This is due to a combination of low TST, lack of peak alignment, and lack of cores in itself, which may make the schedule impossible even for those whose vitals fit into the TST in theory.

Despite this, some adaptations have been known to have succeeded, including that of the coiner of its original name "Uberman", Puredoxyk. Those who adapted largely agree that it was only possible with human alarms, since zombie-mode would get too strong for even the most elaborate phone alarms or other non-sentient solutions.

Failed attempts have often resulted in (and are the origin of) M3 being slept instead, sometimes with more success than a cold-turkey adaptation of it due to the extreme nap efficiency (see deepening) and ls-compression-pressure.

Mechanism

Like most coreless schedules, the mechanism relies largely on SO-vitals in the naps. CL6, being rigid, promises a higher sleep quality (Vitals%) than CLAMAYL, allowing for slightly fewer naps than a theoretical CLAMAYL schedule would for the same person.
